from bad to worse

shift starts at 5.30pm, did quite a few stuffs since i woke up. swept the floor, wiped the fan, did the laundry, cooked my lunch... asked CK if he would like to have spaghetti for lunch, but he insisted on buying mixed rice, sadly they gave him 3 pieces of meat HAHA.

dont really look like this, but definitely a more generous portion than CK's mixed rice lol.

earlier this week, i lost my fuggin mp3 player. and it gone missing in the outlet i'm working at, so it's probably an insider's job. well, too bad for that sucker, it ain't a real ipod, it's just some cheap RM50 imitation my mum bought from China. anyways, at first i thought it was a prank my colleagues played on me, cause the day before it gone missing, another colleague of mine got punked when she thought her wallet got stolen. for my case, the staffs told me pranks dont last longer than a day..

I'M F**KED!

why so? life here without an mp3 player just plain sucks. it's just boring. and you'll look bored.

i dont look like him, for now.

i'll just have to skip my nokia 7373 for now, moving on to plan B now, which is gettin a fixed line over here and gettin one of them sony ericsson phones even though i dont really like em.

the new target : w580i

hope i'll be gettin that soon, DAMN!

the day i went to muar

Goh (my collegemate) had a day off, and asked if i wanted to follow him back to his hometown for a day. a day away from this country? i thank god for letting me know Goh.

the trip took about 2 hours from Larkin station at JB, and when we arrived, Goh's mum came to pick us up to have lunch over at their place.

after lunch, Goh took me for a tour of Muar.

Old skool signboards

it's a lovely city/town with cars and no MRT around, and very much traditional without all the tall buildings and crap apartments and flats. Goh showed me the places where all the nice houses are built and a park where monkeys rule the area (public gangsters, forgot to take a picture of them). after half an hour of driving, he took me for a snack at the riverside.

fried yong tou foo, fruit rojak, ice kacang

good stuff to eat, all 3 dishes definitely and obviously taste way better than those i have in SG haha. after gobbling them down, we went on for another tour.

a very tight two way street

next up was an area where Goh said that there was a Chinese territory where no Malays would dare to step into. he said that once the Malay goes in, they'll end up as fertilizer for the Chinese farms hahaha, i dont think it's urban legend bullshit, probably happened during the May 13 incident. after the short drive, we head on for food again. this time, it's char kuey teow woohoo!

the woman.the stall.the legend.

it's a side stall where Goh has been a regular over here since his schooling days. he said it's popular and usually there're alot of people who line up just to wait for him for their takeaways and eat ins. and there's only one table, so we were lucky to have the table as others there were only taking away.

good ol' char kuey teow, malaysian style

tastes WAY better than the one i had in SG, except that, i had 20+ cockles in my plate, Goh asked the uncle for extra cockles for me without me knowing, and the uncle had to add 5 times the amount of cockles omg.

after the plate of cockles, oops i mean char kuey teow, we drove over to the most famous otak otak shop of Muar.

uncle cycling off

A Class otak-otak

it's not a shop, it's actually a house. there's another house-shop beside this one, but Goh said that is suckier compared to this one.

the owner wrapping otak-otak for christmas gifts

Goh ordered in bulks for his colleagues, kinda like over 10 otak-otaks which were frozen and nicely packed. this shop's so famous, the boss even knows how to live his life.

his ride

i'm gonna start thinking about opening my own otak-otak business as well.

after getting the boxed otak-otak, we went to buy Muar's famous strip otak-otaks. the shop was actually closed, but Goh told the owner that who his mum is, and in no time, the owner gave Goh a big bag of otak-otak. apparently his mum's famous in Muar haha. we head back home and nipped on most of it. after that, we prepared to go out for dinner.

but before dinner, Goh wanted to bring me for o-chien (fried oyster). too bad for us, either the shop's closed or it'll open later in the evening. so we had a bowl of red bean desert and wheat (gandum).

mr.desserto

red bean, yao char kwai (in cantonese doh), and gandum

even before dinner, we're already half stuffed. we then went to meet up with Goh's parents and a couple, who's a family friend. Goh's dad reminded me of someone.

goh's dad

oh yeah, i just remembered.

Goh Senior and Chef Wan. probably long lost brothers.

like father like son, Mr.Goh took us all to a restaurant, and ordered about 7 courses of meals including shark fin soup. i'm not a fan of shark fin soup as it's cruel, but his parents forced me to have a bowl for myself.

after dinner, Goh and i went to meet up with his ex, and we head on for a drink over at a shop which sells bubble tea, the name's kinda harajuku-kawaineh, Witchen-something. and that shop IS kinda filled with harajuku fans, but there were chicks as well haha.

we chilled till late, sent his ex home, and so we head back to his home. UNFORTUNATELY, something bad happened to me soon after that.

Lunch at Goh's place : free

Char kuey teow + overload of cockles : RM2
