the day i got a lil less wiser

Sunday 16th.

had to rush back from work (scheduled to work from 9-6, but we always leave 2 hours later lol). went on to sort out the songs in my new gadget for my upcoming trip back home, and then rushed again to Larkin, Johor for my bus back. fotunately, i acquired the last seat on the 11.30 bus.

and just when i thought i was lucky.

i was stuck over at some part at johor bahru for over 1 1/2 hours. there was this bloody jam on the highway which was caused by a bloody flood following the recent heavy downpours over the last few days.

fast forward time ----> and i reach KL at about 6am. Fabian, Chee Seong and Nick were waiting for me at pudu raya. we went back to PJ to have a dim sum for breakfast.

best.
the best part of breakfast was when nick asked a worker over there to come over with the fried stuffs.
nick : miss, miss.
worker comes over with tray.
we realised she wasnt a miss, she was a guy with girlish features. chee seong and fabian couldnt stop laughing for 3 minutes. nick and i HAD TO control ourselves.

after breakfast, we headed home to catch our sleep. wait, i meant they went home to catch their sleep, i had to drop my bags and set out for my main purpose of coming back home, well, second main purpose actually, first is to play football. anyway, i had to go pull my tooth.

looks way better than where i'm currently staying, plus it's LANDED!

i reached at about 8.15am, hoping to cut the queue of those who made appointments with the dentist, but as soon as i reached there...

9.30 am

i'm boned. i decided to go for a stroll at the wet market. boy it was weird bein the only person around in my age group.

good ol' times.

i had to wait for two sessions till it was my turn.

weirdest moment while pulling out tooth

doc : you might feel the pressure that i'll apply while pulling the tooth out
me : how about the pain.
doc : i dunno, depends on how much pressure i'll apply

the tooth which cost me RM80. if i were to do the same thing at singapore, i heard it'll cost about SGD300 or more. heck, with that sum of dough, i'll be able to get these instead.

wassup wassup gangsta rappaz

so after surgery, i head to KL to get somethin for this comin evenin, AND ALSO THE DAMN TICKET TO SINGAPORE WHICH I FORGOT TO BUY.

search for a matching sole pt. 2

i was leaning on a bar on the monorail when this idiot had to stick his hea between the bar and grab hold of it.

idiot.

nothing much to talk about my trip at KL, this is what i bought.

puma king exec

describable by 3S : sleek, soft and sweet. they were designed so perfect, that they could be used as aircraft wings as well. boots were so soft that they probably used the hides of cows which are slaughtered for Kobe Beef. i'm just saying that they look sweet though, i didn't taste them. (for more info on how to pronounce "sweet", please watch Dude, Where's My Car?)

5.30pm, time for football. instead of our usual game against our rivals in the field, we had to team up with them to play against a bunch of myanmmar men. these fellas probably adored Tony Jaa. with all their high leg actionz, it was like Ong Bak for real at the field. we were trashing them 3-0 until one of our players (Dino) had to score an own goal. game ended 3-1, and it wasnt that fun to play especially when you're playing 20 vs 20.

the Hazels after the game.

met up with Jin Hoe to hand over his bag, and also with fellow -GFN- members Doctor, TALENTED, Killer-X, Hit and Genova for a yam cha session after their game of badminton.

Monday 17th.

went to the post office to check if they were holding on to my parcel of shirts that i bought. it's almost a month and it's not at my doorstep yet, damn bimbos.

law breakers.

met up with an old friend whom we've never kept in contact with each other for over a year for lunch. would have loved to play football, but it rained in the evening. in the end, we played futsal at night.

Tuesday 18th.

went to KL again to check out for the Eastpak pouch i'm looking for, till i ended up goin to the main Eastpak distributor of Malaysia. the chap in charge of Deuter was a real lad, helpin me check for colors and stocks of the pouch. for the time being, they only have Camo colored instead of the prefered black. i'll have to call up next month after they're done doing stock take.

met up with miss ju for a short drink cause she had to rush her thesis and study for her exam on the following day, NERD!

the last night for futsal. i had dinner with my parents, sis and bro in law. rushed for futsal after that, had fun (as usual).

the Kings and the anklet.

last yam cha session with the boys, Fabian couldnt come for futsal and to meet up with us cause his girlfriend held him captive.

Wednesday 19th

didnt sleep throughout the whole day and headed down to KL for my bus.

always the preferred choice.

after reachin singapore, i was in line between two weirdos

this guy kept staring at me as if i killed his mom

this guy had the smelliest feet that probably killed the other fella's mom

special thanks goes to Dez for allowin me to go home to pull that irritating tooth out.

sweet

my mum's gonna kill me, she asked me for one. SORRY MUM I GOTS TO GETS THIS FOR MESELF FIRST!

something extraordinary wrapped up my day.

the first road accident i've seen during my 3 months over here. heck, the citizens drive so safely over here, that this might probably be the ONLY accident in singapore for this month as well.

special thanks to Su, sorry to trouble you about it =)

P.S : to all hazel fc members, prepare for sunday. it's time for good ol times.

the day a heathen appeared.

Monday.3rd dec 07.

hong kim (HK), a friend of mine since diploma arrived at singapore for his 2 days trip. being a guy who loves making empty promises, he suprisingly kept to this one that he will come visit before leaving for Macau. at night, we met up with CK over at his workplace, and went on for late supper whereby HK tried the fried kuey teow over here. needless to say, most malaysians will find a major difference between the singaporean and malaysian versions.

the legend.

tuesday.
to start off, we woke up kinda early that day, about 9am. he was raring to go to check out singapore and the malls for one thing : a crumpler bag for his laptop.

we head off to orchard at about 11+ and stopped by at marriott to look for Goh, one of our diploma classmates as well. well, actually, we were gonna look for the HR exec over at marriott FIRST, then look for Goh. too bad for us, Goh had a training session conducted by the HR exec ( $*(&#!@*). soon after checking out Tangs, we head off to Wheelock Place, to one of the crumpler stores which is located in it.

as soon as we reached Wheelock, Goh decided to join us for a short while.

pimpmaster and sugar daddy

we had a chat while looking at the bags over at crumpler, and good ol goh reserved a table for buffet in marriotts later in the evening. of all the days my wisdom tooth had to be such a pain in the ass. wheelock's store lacked the choices of color, so we went to Paragon to look at the other outlet at orchard. there, HK desperately bought his bag haha.

next station, city hall interchange. passengers going towards bugis, pasir ris or changi airport, please alight and transfer at the next station (that's how the mrt goes). well yeah, we did stop at city hall, to meet up with ANOTHER diplomamate, Noreena. we caught up with her after her work, and she spent us a round of SB coffee which she claimed was on the house (hope it's not from her pocket)

Noreena!!!

...and her "on the house" drinks

dinner at marriott's was a pain in the ass. why? cause my wisdom tooth said so. stupid tooth.

after dinner, Goh, and i brought HK to Clarke Quay to show him one of singapore's happening nightlife areas during the non-happening times of the week. there were more people looking at that persian man scooping ice cream and hitting the chimes with it than drinkers at the pubs over there. he looks persian, i'm just guessing he's persian tho.

going to clarke quay and not having a drink even though your stomach is bloated? hell no. after a round checkin out all the shops, we sat down at The Clinic, a shop/bar/pub/idunnothecategory with a hospital theme.

sexy

sexy

uhh...sexy?

the latest ad for Carlsberg

the guy whom you seldom see in this blog

well well, right about 11pm, the three of us head back to our places. i had nothing to do, so i decided to put up the pictures of what we bought on that day.

Yui's first album, From Me To You. ohhh yeah, that's the stuff.

a crumpler bag i bought for a friend. damn that burnt a hole in my wallet. especially the new wallet i bought. damn that burnt a hole in my pants.

the one that i was lookin for.

poser. i asked him to, but he was a natural at being one.

wednesday.

last day for hk to be here before he leaves at 3pm. the dork had to ruin my sleep when he suddenly banged my bedframe.

hi i'm a hot young 22 year old chinese guy looking for a girl to settle with.
in the mrt, we shooked hands before we parted ways (i was heading to work, he wanted to go shopping at orchard for the last time). i would have loved to plant my shoe up his ass for the last time, but honestly speakin i'm gonna miss this joker especially when i have return trips back to malaysia.

HK was sweet enough to give us a souvenir for accomodating him during the past few days.

he left his friggin undies.

i guess the closest resemblance to Hong Kim that i'll ever get here at singapore is..

yeah right.

most memorable moment
me : how do you pronounce Outram Park?
HK : out-ram park la.
me : you're wrong man. here it's pronounced as O-uu-trem Park
HK : O ur lou mou la.

search for a matching sole pt. 1

didnt have much time to update the blog, been procrastinating most of the time, plus i've been working like crazy during the recent month. thanks to the store manager, Dez, i've been allowed to train as a barrista. no thanks to Dez tho, i've been given the opportunity to open in the morning a smaller outlet of ours haha. i WAS supposed to update it yesterday, but i have this bloody terrible toothache goin on for a few days, and it gets worse during sleeping hours. probably not as bad as sharing a single bed.

back to the topic of the post.

a fortnight ago, i went to Queensway Shopping Centre, over at Queenstown. to my disbelief, it was just like Pertama Complex in KL. a whole building, mostly dedicated to selling sports apparel and equipment. not to forget, fake ones too (that's what i heard). well, i went in lookin for a futsal shoe, for the reasons that a) my previous one is hell of useless and tearing apart, and b) it's a girl's shoe ahaha (seriously, i wasn't aware when i bought it)

it was either a Nike Vapour or Nike Tiempo. i've talked to a few shop owners about which to choose, most of them opted for the Tiempo, cause it's longer lasting compared to a Vapour, which they said it's usually for casual use cause it's not as durable as a Tiempo.

GIMME A BREAK PEOPLE I KNOW HOW TO PLAY FOOTBALL.

after a few rounds in the mall and most of the time getting lost, i've finally made a decision and bought one.
nike air tiempo mystic.

these babies took my eyes off other shoes (except a Vapour). the downside of them are the black rubber below the shoes, and the damn ugly black shoelaces.

front view of the shoes (see what i mean about ugly black shoelaces)

what i like about the shoes is the shoelace protectors, which have a bull emblazoned on each of them. according to another store manager of mine, Jeremy, the owner of this shop which is a close buddy of his goes to Nike conventions around the world and get limited edition stuffs out of them. golly me, i grabbed one of those limited edts (tried surfing the net to search for these but they didnt come up, hell no i'm not buying fake ones)

ownz joo.

thankfully, the shoes came together with WHITE shoelaces, so i decided to sit down at home and did what i missed doing during high school, putting on shoelaces onto a shoe. and the result...

tadaa!

and from then on, i've never touched or worn the shoe yet. lol.

incident of that day : i sat at a taxi stand waiting for the bus.

advice to singapore government, please indicate which is a taxi stand next time.

the unforgettable weekend @ 3rd-4th Nov

Saturday
left early at 6am, without having any sleep the day before. went to sleep right away on the bus, had some short naps due to the COMFORTABLE seat i had. upon reaching to KL, had a stop by at KLCC to get my tie, and also to meet up with my degree buddy Ben. had a light chat, and went straight back home.
there was gonna be a family gathering over at my place later at night, but heck, i wont miss the chance of getting some football actionz first while i'm over here DOH!

the Hazels, well, some of em.

went back home after that with everyone in the house suprised that i played football before the party. house was packed with relatives and friend's of the family.

the most happening house in the row, for the night.

Sunday

BIG BIG DAY, well, not for me, but for my sister. why? cause it's the day that she'll no longer be known as miss loke.

the day started off early around 8am when everyone got up and got busy. i woke up at 9am just to move to another room to sleep for 2 more hours. anyways, after gettin my sleep and dressin up, we did final preparations to welcome the groom aka my bro-in-law.

the man himself and his crew.

my parents still follow the old Chinese custom for marriage.

the boys did go up, and then played a game with the girls. the girls are supposed to ask the groom for a red packet first, and also dare him to do some stuffs before they allow him to enter the room to meet his future wife (yeah i know most of you already know that)

my sister's notorious friends.

well, first dare was to down a bottle for 3 seconds. i pity the boys, cause i was the one who sponsored the bottle of vodka. and i think the content's kinda dead or expired, cause there i couldn't smell the vodka. stupid smirnoff.

one of the boys takin it for the groom.

there were two more games, one guy did pushups, and the groom did duck walk up the stairs. too bad no pictures of those two dares, got kinda blocked by everyone. after the dares were completed...

open sesame.

unveiling of his wife, damn didnt get to take a pic of them smooching.

after the commotion upstairs, it's time for the commotion downstairs.

here they come!

uhh, next up was the tea ceremony, and the distribution of red packets. no pictures of those too haha.

Sunday Night

the entrance to the dinner.

wedding dinner was held at Equatorial Kuala Lumpur. a slight problem arised when there were two different floor plans and guests were seated with other guests whom they dont know at all, e.g. bro in law's friends with neighbourhood friends. problem was solved shortly after that.

had dinner, met up with long lost family friends and had a chat with them, met with my bro in law's family, didnt get to drink, only a few sips of red wine from my cousin's glass.

cuttin of the cake.

the Chais on the podium, doin what every champions do, playin with champagne.
champagne supernova (it's a song's name doofuses)

my sis and husband were so famous, that they were even on tv!
well, hotel's TV at the lobby, but heck, it's still TV!

the new couple and i.
the only chance of me wearing it.

went out to meet up with the boys after reaching home, no pictures of that again, but i'll put up some ol ones.

the gang @ murni SS2
lame chee seong aiming the straw into robin's ear. random act.
THIS IS CALLED MAMAK FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, was supposed to meet up with someone else, but too bad.

a gift from someone, always tastes better that way.

Monday

left at 6.30am, with just 3 hours of sleep. took a 7.30 bus, reached back south at 11.30, on reachin the transit bus, i noticed something weird..

a mini comic book

i suddenly feel depressed again leaving KL.

quote of the week : "So, when's your turn?"
